“You ask me if I’m going to have a heart transplant, brain surgery or a lump on my knee” – Charles Barkley candidly once told Lance Armstrong a simple rule about the NBA legend

Lance Armstrong’s cycling career ended in 2012. But in 2019 he launched his own podcast to dig into the depths of his infamous dismantling. On this podcast, Lance Armstrong has hosted celebrities in various niches. Fans witnessed serious and light-hearted moments portrayed on the show. It helped fans get to know the other side of celebrities. One such podcast that listeners really enjoyed was that of former basketball player Charles Barkley.

American basketball legend Charles Barkley was popular for his no-filter attitude on the court. The podcast between the two legends premiered in January 2019. Fans loved the unfiltered interaction between them. However, Charles’ habit alone gave Lance a hard time organizing this podcast.

Charles’ texting irritated Lance Armstrong at one point

During the start-up phase of the podcast, Lance explained to listeners how difficult it was to communicate with Charles via text. He gave the details of their conversation to organize the podcast. Armstrong was trying Charles’ address, but apparently Charles couldn’t understand his question. Spear describe, “I say, do you live in the Scottsdale area? You say, I’m on the plane, heading to Arizona”.

Lance wanted to know the address to host the podcast, but Charles kept telling him where he was going. Lance was pissed off at Barkley’s “out of context” responses. “At this point, I bang my head against the wall,he said jokingly.

Lance kept trying to explain through follow-up texts. But Charles’ erratic responses made matters worse for the bike Legend. He read the texts. At one point, Lance continued to message her, but there was no response from the other side. “I said, do you live there, no answer, I said, how about 6 p.m., no answer.”

Charles revealed he wasn’t very active on phone texting. “I’m not a very big texterthe caption told Armstrong. He doesn’t like to write long texts very much. Chuck said: “most of my texts are going to be as long as five words, at most!”

Mr Charles added that he prefers to answer even the serious question in one or two words. “If you ask me if I’m going to have a heart transplant, brain surgery or get the scoop on my knee, I say yes, no, yes or yes, yes.” He said, “I refuse to have a text conversation, but when we’re here now, I look forward to it.”

Since announcing his presence on the podcast, fans have been expecting the same attitude. However, Charles exceeded everyone’s expectations. Her attitude towards texting is something every millennial would identify with. Plus, people learned how difficult it can be to connect with Sir Charles.
