Ola Electric has postponed the start of sales of its S1 and S1 Pro offerings in India due to a technical issue. As we told you, the company planned to start selling its electric scooters online on September 8. However, the CEO of the company, Bhavish Aggarwal, sent a letter the same day, apologizing for the delay and citing a technical failure as the reason. He also said the new start date for the sale is September 15 at 8 a.m.


Despite the schedule change, the sales process will remain unchanged. People who have booked one of the electric scooters will be able to purchase it according to their booking sequence and deliveries will also be made in the same format. The overall buying and financing process will be completely digital, with no paperwork involved. Ola has been accepting online pre-reservations for electric scooters at Rs 499 since July of this year.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro are generously equipped with modern features such as a touchscreen, full LED lighting, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, keyless operations and many other perks. However, the S1 Pro has additional features such as a hill hold system and cruise control. There is also a difference in their range and top speed. Those numbers are rated at 181 km and 115 km / h, respectively, for the top-of-the-line Pro version. Additionally, while the S1 is only available in five color options, S1 Pro buyers have 10 paint schemes to choose from.
