Longridge Rotary Cycling Sportive to the relief of prostate cancer

Longridge and North Preston Rotary have organized a charity sports cycling event that will take place on Sunday July 25.


All proceeds will go to prostate cancer research.

Participants will start at Longridge, crossing the falls with fantastic views over the Ribble Valley, through scenic Waddington and into Yorkshire with views of two of the three Yorkshire Peaks.

Then up to Settle down on peaceful roads to cross the border again into Cumbria near Sedbergh and through Kirkby Lonsdale to return to Lancashire, passing through Stocks Reservoir and through the forest of Gisburn and small villages, including central UK, Dunsop Bridge.

The total ascent is 2212m or 7260ft.

Longridge and North Preston Rotary try to fundraise for prostate cancer research every year, as 1 in 8 men have it in their lifetime.

It costs £ 20 to enter and the proceeds are donated to charity. If you would like to participate, click here.
