Canyon riders get peace of mind with new Qover insurance partnership

Global bike maker Canyon has teamed up with InsurTech Qover to get riders back on their bikes when the worst happens.

BRUSSELS, September 6, 2022 — Canyon – which specializes in road, mountain, hybrid, triathlon, e-bikes and more – now offers a dedicated insurance package to its customers via the Custom API from Qover in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France, followed by Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

“At Canyon, we are very focused on our relationship with customers. This integration with Qover only reinforces that,” explained Christian Steyer, head of customer solutions at Canyon. “The customer experience doesn’t end when the bike is delivered to their doorstep, so it’s very important that our partner can help us roll out an insurance product globally with a single integration.”

The partnership comes as fear of theft continues to be a pressing issue – anti-theft firm AlterLock reports that 80% of respondents in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands are worried about bike theft – and more half have experienced it.

“Instead of thinking about a stolen or broken bike, Qover helps customers focus on what really matters,” Steyer added.

Qover’s unique integration into Canyon’s customer journey means riders can count on reliable service from the time they purchase coverage to when they need it most. And pre-existing customers can retroactively purchase insurance for up to one year on the Qover website.
