Billie opened up about going on the road during an interview with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong for Rolling Stone, where she said traveling frequently diminished her drive to write new songs.

‘There was a time when I was like, “Do I even like music?” It felt like so many tours,” she said.

The singer said that while she loved performing, being on tour was particularly taxing.

“The shows are still my favorite part. But it was just traveling and being alone all the time…when you come back, everyone kind of drifted away from you,’ she said.

Billie, however, pointed out that she eventually learned to love touring and looked forward to her future performances.

“This last tour I went on was the first one I’ve ever enjoyed. I feel like I have this amazing thing that I see now,’ she said.
